The Op is looking for a great communicator with a creative spirit and a passion for staying organized to join our Product team. Based in Carlsbad, CA, this in-house role is an integral part of making our games and getting them in the hands of gamers everywhere. The Assoc. Brand Manager collaborates with internal development staff (content, creative, and production), internal Marketing staff, vendors, and licensors, to orchestrate on-time/on-budget delivery of product.  You will work with team members to develop ideas, define features and functionality, manage launch plans, and create final deliverables for approval.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
 Manage individual product timelines taking into account development and art timing, licensor key dates and sales goals
Establish and nurture relationships with Licensors and partners in order to secure product and marketing approvals
Manage all communication for product approvals and product samples, administer changes (via Wrike) for Marketing and Creative teams
Understand and meet contractual requirements relating to development and approvals
Develop and maintain relationships with all internal departments
Maintain Records throughout the product cycle from concept to launch.
Work closely with Marketing team to develop product Marketing plans
 Proofread and review products for consistency, brand requirements, and safety requirements at submittal and film stages
Provide product information, materials, etc. to relevant parties/department managers on a timely basis (Operations, Production, Sales, and Marketing)
Work with Production team to review prototypes, samples, and approvals at every stage
Collaborate in the development of creative concepts and their execution through a range of activities including focus testing, concept sessions, & play tests
 
Additional Responsibilities:
Continued growth in board game knowledge is expected.  Attendance of consumer and trade shows may be required. Administrative duties: scheduling meetings, setting agendas; taking notes/sending re-caps, inputting Creative Requests, obtaining brand presentations and collateral, shipping and tracking packages to Licensors.
 
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years Project Management experience
  • Capable of keeping multiple projects progressing simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working with creative teams, marketing professionals, and licensors
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office,
  • Familiarity with Project Management tools (ie: Wrike, Asana, Smartsheet)
  • Working knowledge of PDF workflow and markup
  • Adaptable and willing to pitch in where needed to foster a positive team
Preferred but Not Required
  • BA in Marketing or Business
  • Crowdfunding campaign experience
  • Licensing industry and/or Toy & Game industry experience
  • A love of board games and Pop Culture
